Take your time adding liquid ingredients to the batter so that the batter doesn’t get too smooth too soon. While you’re blending, scrape the sides of the bowl from time to time to ensure that there are no ingredients left behind that don’t get incorporated. Once the batter is ready, pour it into the pan, tapping the pan on the counter to get the air bubbles out before putting the pan in the oven.
